While we love what we do here at Twin Roses Designs, it is also a

About our design staff: Andrea Wakely As the costume
designer of Twin Roses Designs, Andrea Wakely is
involved in every
aspect of the costume design and production process. Andrea
worked in the costume shop at the University of Virginia
for two years and was involved in numerous productions as dresser,
master painter/dyer, assistant costume designer, pattern drafter,
stitcher, etc. Andrea has degrees in Theater
(costume
design),
Biology, and a Minor in Studio Art from UVA in
1993.
Founded in 2000, Twin Roses Designs has since grown into the thriving business you see today. Andrea's goals for the future are to continue to design and create costumes for film and tv productions and professional performing arts groups in addition to producing high quality clothing for individuals and small groups. Garry Wakely Another
scientist/artist blend,
Garry is our technical guru. He specializes in digital
translation of artwork into stitches for the embroidery machine, as
well as being the in-house Dye Master, webmaster and
photographer. Garry received his
BSc from the University of British Columbia in Occupational Therapy.
René Rodgers Our
new assistant René studied art history and classics at Wiliam and Mary,
and has a PhD in Roman archaeology from the University of Durham in
England. After several years in heritage publishing, she is
trying something new and is enjoying acting as an assistant to Andrea
and Garry. |
